I am a licensed psychotherapist in NYC specializing in the treatment of eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, OCD, depression and trauma. Many of my clients come to me because they can't stop getting in their own way. I believe that given the right set of tools, people are capable of long-lasting change.
We will start by discussing your goals and the behaviors or mindsets you want to work on. Together we will look at what you've tried in the past and where you've gotten stuck. We will discuss your history to understand where the behaviors came from while also developing new skills to use today. I incorporate a number of different therapeutic techniques including cognitive behavior therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mindfulness practices.
I was the previous Senior Team Leader at a leading eating disorder treatment center where I provided individual, family and group therapy to women and adolescents as well as provided supervision to therapists and graduate-level students. I also received postgraduate training at the Ackerman Institute for the Family and work with couples and families looking to improve communication patterns and enhance the quality of their relationships.
